Shay McAlister has mentioned goodbye to Louisville ABC affiliate WHAS after 10 years.
“I’ve determined to go away WHAS11. It’s not a choice I made frivolously,” she wrote on social media. “This station has given me a lot, and I stroll away with immense gratitude and peace, figuring out it’s time to step away from the consolation of the acquainted—and step into one thing new.”
McAlister mentioned she’s not leaving Louisville or journalism and that “A giant announcement is coming quickly—and I can’t wait to carry you with me!”
She joined the station as a reporter in July 2015 and was named investigative reporter in 2019 and information anchor in 2021.
