Mental property staff of 21 attorneys jumps to Sheppard Mullin

Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton has acquired a 21-lawyer staff of mental property attorneys from Ropes & Grey that features 5 companions.
One of many attorneys making the transfer is Steven Pepe, chair of Ropes & Grey’s IP apply group, report Bloomberg Regulation, Regulation.com and a Sept. 18 press launch.
The group “joins and expands” Sheppard Mullin places of work in New York, Silicon Valley, Seoul and Washington, D.C., in keeping with the press launch.
Pepe advised Regulation.com that Sheppard Mullin’s purchasers in South Korea and Asia supplied “an excellent alignment for us.” And the legislation agency “has one of many strongest reputations in IP litigation and IP usually,” he mentioned.
In an announcement printed by Bloomberg and Regulation.com, Ropes & Grey mentioned it “stays totally dedicated to the continuing progress of our IP transactions apply, in addition to strengthening our presence in key markets, together with the West Coast. We’re grateful for the contributions of our former colleagues and sit up for alternatives for continued collaboration with them.”
