Baltimore NBC affiliate WBAL is including a 7 p.m. newscast that begins Monday, September 15.
The newscast can be co-anchored by Jason Newton and Ashley Hinson, together with longtime morning meteorologist Ava Marie, who strikes to 7 p.m.
“Increasing our advertising main information choices is additional proof of our continued dedication to our viewers,” WBAL president and basic supervisor Dan Joerres stated in a press release. “Having the most-experienced crew of native journalists within the market is a definite benefit for our model. This newscast will comply with the highly effective half-hour of ‘NBC Nightly Information,’ becoming seamlessly into the evolving schedules of our loyal viewers, whereas delivering a key viewers valued by our promoting companions.”
Marie may also be a part of chief meteorologist Tom Tasselmyer in the course of the 4 and 5 p.m. exhibits, together with the WBAL-TV 11 Information at 10 p.m. on MeTV Baltimore (Digital Channel 11-2, Comcast 208, Verizon FiOS 460, Broadstripe 165, DirecTV 77 and DISH 247).
To interchange Marie, Alena Lee will be a part of the morning information crew of Lacee Griffith, Megan Rivers and Sean Streicher weekdays from 4:30-7 a.m.
The Hearst owned station stated that with the brand new newscast WBAL will now produce 42 hours of native information every week.
Inside Version will transfer to weeknights at 7:30 p.m.
