Diane Kalas, the primary feminine reporter for KPNX in Phoenix, has died.
“She handed peacefully, surrounded by love. Diane’s power, heat, and unwavering love profoundly formed our lives, and her reminiscence can be cherished by all who had the enjoyment of realizing her,” her household posted to Fb.
She joined the station in 1970. The Phoenix NBC affiliate stated that “regardless that Kalas was the one feminine in a newsroom filled with males, she stated she was by no means handled any much less simply because she was a girl.”
“The boys I labored with all handled me like their little sister. They have been useful and welcoming,” she instructed the station in 2023.
