Former Windfall, Rhode Island information director Allison Gaito has filed a federal lawsuit accusing the station and its mother or father firm Normal Media, of “illegal retaliation, gender discrimination, and sustaining a sexually hostile office.”
Gaito was named information director at ABC affiliate WLNE in 2022, and mentioned she was wrongfully terminated after a 12 months that included excessive turnover, continued low rankings, and a fireplace that broken the station’s Windfall workplace.
The lawsuit accuses male superiors of undermining her at each step, together with when she needed to advertise well-known meteorologist Kelly Bates to be the station’s chief meteorologist.
Gaito now works in communications for Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
