    Wednesday Season 2 Starts Strong

    It’s hump day for Netflix because the Season 2 premiere of Wednesday debuted on the prime of Nielsen’s High 10 Total Streaming chart for the week of August 4.

    The preliminary four-episode drop of the thriller/comedy sequence starring Jenna Ortega earned 3.750 billion viewing minutes, sufficient to provide it the second-largest weekly streaming complete of 2025 to this point. The Adults 18-49 demographic made up greater than half (51%) of the watch time, with one other 20% coming from the 17 and youthful demo. 

    After every week of close to Netflix domination within the High 10, different streaming companies returned to the chart, together with Hulu, Paramount+, and Prime Video.

    In response to Nielsen Streaming Content material Rankings, three titles had greater than a billion viewing minutes for the week, with Netflix occupying six spots within the chart, with two of these positions having shared distribution rights. 

    It was a welcome sight for sore eyes within the No. 2 place as Hank Hill and firm landed within the chart with new episodes of the revived animated sitcom King of the Hill, giving Hulu 1.208 billion minutes considered. This was the sequence’s first-ever High 10 look, with the brand new episodes accounting for 77% of the full watch time, resonating with the Adults 18-34 demo, who made up 43% of the watch time. In the meantime, 34% of watch time got here from the Adults 35-49 demo.

    Dropping to 3rd place was Netflix’s The Searching Wives with 1.203 billion minutes considered. It was adopted by one other Netflix title, KPop Demon Hunters, which slid to fourth from third place with 977 million viewing minutes. Disney’s Bluey continues to carry regular within the No. 5 place with 776 million minutes considered. 

    Relating to the underside of the chart, Sullivan’s Crossing was in sixth place, bringing in 698 million minutes considered on Netflix. This was adopted by the shared title Paw Patrol on Paramount+ and Netflix, barking up 679 million viewing minutes to land within the No. 7 place. One other Paramount+ title, SpongeBob SquarePants, returned to the chart, taking eighth place with 675 million minutes considered.

    At No. 9 was Gray’s Anatomy, shared between Hulu and Netflix, with 675 million minutes considered. Within the last spot was Amazon Prime Video’s The Summer season I Turned Fairly, with the sequence gathering its highest weekly complete with 665 million viewing minutes.
